Is the Eafengrow EF55 Folding Knife worth all the great reviews it’s gotten?
I think so and I like it so much that I’ve bought 3 of these knives so far. The first one bought was for my daughter as a birthday present. The second one I gave away as a gift. Lastly, the third one I decided so far to keep for myself. My Eafengrow EF55 is kept hooked on my molle chest rig. Right next to my mag pouches for easy access.

This is a good knife people! Do your research. This knife is getting excellent reviews. For a $28 value, you can’t go wrong with the this knife. I own pocket knives, folding knives, and sheath knives, Heck… I even have a Katana just in case there is a zombie apocalypse. The Eafengrow EF55 is a great addition to my collection and would be for yours too.
So what can I say about this folder? Let’s take a look at its features:

- The G10 handle is made from non-slip non-deformed Fiberglass

Out of the box, it’s flipping sharp! I don’t know about you, but I love the tanto-style tip on a blade. At almost 9 inches long, it’s got a good feel in my hand, and its easy to hold when I use it thanks to the G10 grips. Not too heavy and it’s plenty big enough for things like cutting heavy line/rope, shaving wood, and other general outdoor uses.

It also comes with a unique tool for loosening or tightening the screws as you can in the image to the left.
While I haven’t experienced any of the hardware coming loose. Expect this to be a major issue if this is the only knife you have on you. Especially if you’re in the remote outdoors and you don’t have this tool handy to tighten things up. It is definitely not a standard toolbox item. I think Allen head fasteners would have been a better choice to use in assembling this knife as Allen head wrenches are much more common.
Pros & Cons
So, Pros! A tanto-style tip. And the G10 textured non-slip grips.
Are there any cons to this blade? Yeah.. a tactical molle pouch would be awesome. Why no pouch? I’malso a little disappointed in the fastener style and the fastener tool. But like I mentioned above, it ain’t a deal breaker by any means. Consider the Eafengrow EF55 $30 well spent and I’ll add a second one to my collection for my other chest rig.
